Baseball Fines

We all know ball players make tons of money. The average player salary climbs annually. When the salaries climb, so do the prices of tickets, parking, food, merchandise and other things. Overall the MLB and the Players Association are wealthy organizations as well. They make millions of dollars and continue to do so even during a tougher economy. But what happens when a player gets out of line. It happens all of the time it seems lately whether off or on the field. Well, for players there are rules they must follow on and off the field. These rules are sometimes adhered to by the MLB. We all know they tend to look the other way sometimes. But other times they do try and step in and punish wrong doers. Yet sometimes the fines seem silly. Sure, nobody wants to be fined a few thousand dollars. To a player making millions it can tend to not sway them towards reform. Certainly the crime must fit the punishment. For the admitted steroids users, and the issues they have caused for the entire league, they were not fined at all in most cases. So who knows why the MLB does what they do. It is no matter really. The players will continue to do what they want when they want to.
