Many of us remember going to ball games and while our parents loved to go too, going meant doing it on a budget. So it meant getting the cheap seats in the outfield and only getting to share a soda or two and each of you getting a ballpark hotdog. Stuffed inside your moms purse would have been tons of snacks to fill your bellies just in case the game ran long or for the journey home. But who cares where you sit. The action, the sounds and food are still the same.
You can still take your family to the game on a budget. It does not have to be an expensive trip. It is one that you can enjoy no matter where you choose to sit.

A baseball game is a baseball game. No matter where you sit, the noises, the smells and the overall atmosphere during the game can be experienced no matter where your seats are. If you cannot afford the pricier seats, then consider getting the cheaper seats. Many people love sitting in the outfield and viewing the game. Kids especially can appreciate sitting just about anywhere just as long as they get to take in a game. Certainly for some the cheap seats may be not as much of a thrill as enjoying some box seats or sitting near the team dugouts. Sure these seats can be great and bring a different experience to watching the game, but so can the outfield seats.
So if you are short on funds and the park allows you to bring your own snacks (call ahead first), then consider heading to the game and grabbing some cheaper seats. Do not forget that some stadiums charge quite a bit to park though. So keep some extra money in your wallets just in case. You never know when the urge for some concession goodies may be something you end up splurging on. If that is the case, then the cheaper seats may be your best option any time you head to a game.
