The 2009 MLB Playoffs Are Here

Posted on: October 7, 2009 by No Comments

For the avid baseball fan, the balance between regular life and baseball is a tough thing to balance. Now that all the regular season games are over and the playoffs have started, deciding what games to watch and how many can be tough. For some fans who don’t care whether their favorite team made it or not, the MLB playoffs are exciting to watch no matter who is playing and when.

For the past several years though the numbers of viewers who watch the games have sunk to all time lows. The World Series used to be a big thing to watch. It seems that the interest in baseball with the younger generations have faded though. The MLB may need to consider making some changes to entice young viewers to watch the game. For many the games and the season can be too long and tedious. For some of us though it is hard to break traditions. An argument can be made that making changes to the game or season could kill it.

Whatever your opinion is, the coming of fall and the MLB playoff season can be a very exciting time. Here is a recap on the 2009 MLB Playoff season! Remember to have fun and enjoy! Enjoy this great article on the playoffs!

Steroids And The MLB

Posted on: October 3, 2009 by No Comments

This would not be a proper baseball blog if we did not have at least one post on steroids. I mean the headlines are constantly pouring into the newsroom. Blah Blah Blah- right! Well, maybe not if you’re a huge fan. Alex Rodriguez admitted to taking steroids while with the Rangers. Shocker! Okay, that might have been a bit sarcastic; maybe I’m not that shocked.

So why no penalties for him? I guess number one he confessed. Second, it was a long time ago, and if I’m not mistaken I think he blamed someone else for it.

I have a habit I need to break also; it’s eating a pint of Ben and Jerry’s in one sitting. Now would you believe me if I told you it was not my fault? I mean come one, my wife bought it at the store for me. I didn’t! Next, she made some nasty lemon cake for dessert. Yuck. I need my dessert. Turns out the only thing left in the house was Ben and Jerry’s. So I polished off the whole thing which I blame on the company. They made the container too small and the ice cream way too good.

Don’t buy it? You see, stupid story! Fess up, if you did it be a man and say you did it. Stop blaming others. Some of us would like to move on and watch some real baseball.

So to all the players out there that try and make the game as pure as possible, we fans salute you for not giving in to the weakness that engulfs so many.
