The 2012 MLB baseball season looks to be a promising one. With another year between the league and many drug scandals, they look to have a good season in store for fans. Also with the near NFL strike and the NBA strike, fans may swing towards baseball as a safe haven for their families to enjoy uninterrupted by strike talk and scandals. The NBA was really affected by their strike. The MLB can win some of these fans over by making sure promotions and marketing run in that direction.

What can help the MLB in 2012? No more drug issues. Players also need to perform well to their capabilities if fans will be drawn to their stadiums to see them play. It will also help the season by steering clear of negative publicity as much as possible. With so many teams and players, there will probably be some negative issues to deal with. Just as long and they’re light in nature, it could be a great season to watch baseball.

The 2011 World Series is now over. The Rangers were one pitch away from winning the title when their star closer failed to end it. The cardinals had a rough game with tons of errors yet managed a rally in OT to win it. The last game of the series was no contest. After both teams scored two runs each in the first inning, the Rangers failed to hit the ball and literally collapsed as they watched their chances fall apart in the end. Kudos to the Cardinals for pulling out two great wins at the end to win the Series.

So what will be next for both teams? The Rangers have made it to the Series two times in a row. This time they did much better than the last. Next they will try and protect their roster as best as possible to ensure that they will have a string team next year. Certainly their pitching staff will be around mostly. But it will be a long season ahead next year for both teams as they try and bid again for another World Series Appearance. Good luck to both of them.

The 20011 World Series is coming up soon, have you been watching? It has been a long road for many teams as they battle it out in the playoffs for the next spot in their league’s championship series before moving on to the World Series. The Rangers just edged out the Devil Rays and are now awaiting the Tigers or Yankees as their next opponent.

For the MLB it has been a better season overall. With the NBA and NFL both having their own issues with possible strikes and other deals, the MLB has been keeping the bad press out of the news for now. The league still has some issues to deal with though. With the steroid issues being far from over, the league is looking to put the past behind them and try to move on to bigger and better deals.

For now everyone can put all of this behind them and move on to enjoying the League championships and the World Series soon. So get your nose out of the bad press and the past and try to enjoy the rest of the season.

Let’s face it, for many fans their favorite teams are either in the running for the playoffs or completely out. There is still time left in the season for a few teams to make a run at it, while others have records that are just too low.

For many fans this can actually be the best time of the season watching teams just out of the playoff picture make a last ditch effort to gain as many wins as possible to make it to the finals. The key at this point for many of these teams will be their pitching. At this point in the season, either injuries to pitchers or the fact that they are just too tired will affect a team’s push to make it. The bullpen is often over used during this point in the season when teams are trying to rest their starters as much as possible. Often times this can backfire on coaches if they are not careful.

Of course the rest of the team has to put out big numbers as well to keep their teams alive. Without some hot bats, a team might as well pack up the equipment for the rest of the season. So sit back and enjoy the rest of the season! It will be quite a ride for many teams.

Little league baseball can be an amazing time in a child’s life. Being a part of a team sport and learning how to separate oneself from that individual side and becoming a part of a group of other kids with the same interest can be great.

Parents in these leagues can have a negative effect on their child’s play and mental makeup overall though. It happens all the time that parents get over involved, question coaches constantly, curse out umpires and fight with other parents. Some coaches have helped to curb this on their teams by telling parents only he coaches the kids in practice and during a game. Parents are not allowed to do anything other than root for their child. No sideline coaching and poor behavior. If they do their child sits. This has been proven to work on some teams, helping the parents see that their kids are there to play, have fun and learn some life lessons and skills. Sure, there will be winners and losers, is there not in life? But parents must realize their child will only get stronger if they let them learn and play without their constant bickering and fighting in the stands.

Now that the 2011 MLB Season it at least 70% finished, it is the job of many employees to keep fans interested in coming to the ball park to continue rooting for the home team.

This is especially true for teams that are struggling in the standings. The more the team struggles, the more fans want to save their hard earned money for something else. Combine that with the start of the NFL and College football season and you’re done. Fans attentions are now being diverted in several other directions. However, there are plenty of die hard fans that still attend the games hoping to see some good games no matter if the home team wins or loses.

So where do you stand? Are you more willing to go to games later in the summer or do you attend more earlier on in the season? Sure, it is tough to spend money on a losing team, but you have to admit a family outing at the ballpark can be a blast. Plenty to do, eat, and see. So make an outing of it and consider going on a discount night.

The summer is here and the MLB season for 2011 is half way over. The National League pulled out a 5 to 1 victory over the American League just a day or so ago. Now it is time to see what teams can hold on until the end to get them into the playoffs. This is really where teams with weak pitching staffs will fail miserably. Once their pitchers get tired, they often rely on their bullpens to get them through. The problem with this is that your relief pitchers can only handle so much extra pitching. The bullpen must be fresh with renewed arms. If not, this is what can end the season for many teams.

Teams that have tons of injuries will struggle as well. Many will also find climbing out of last place will be nearly impossible. This will drive fans away from attending their games if they do not pick things up.

The intense summer heat in some areas is not helping matters much either. Fans are finding it hard to truly desire to attend games when it is so hot. Teams are going to really have to come up with some creative ideas to get their teams to the top and keep the fans coming in.

Baseball is still recovering from news of steroids found in their players on most of the teams. It seems many players may have skated by due to their lack luster performances during many seasons. However, many players that have done well have been questioned thanks to links from people surrounding them claiming they have used muscle enhancing substances.

In any case, for now baseball teams and their players are out of the spotlight. Has the MLB doe enough to keep players tested and free from these substances though? There are many different substances out there and testing for them all can be tough. So only time will tell if the MLB is clean or not. We hope to see that there are no major rule infractions. Sure, some players may feel they need to break them, but hopefully the league will be there to stop these guys for the fans sake.

The 2011 MLB season is well underway. Teams have already been jockeying for position to try and gain strong momentum to stay on top for the very long season. The MLB has long been criticized that the season seems too long. However, there seems to be no reason they feel they should have to change it. The more games they have the more viewers they will get, then the more commercial spots they can sell to make money in a very down economy. Some teams with lower attendance suffer more than most since they are always trying to find ways to draw fans into their stadiums to watch the teams play.

However, when the season is as long as it is and if that team is struggling, it is really hard to give a fan a reason to leave the comfort of their home to head to the ballpark. Parking costs a ton, then you have tickets to buy, and if you’re rich then food.

The ballpark experience can be great for the family to enjoy though. But with gas higher and things just costing more, many families cannot afford to take in as many games as they once could. Either way, the season is here and going strong, sit back and enjoy.

The 2011 MLB draft will be coming up soon. Typically the baseball draft can get overshadowed by the NFL and NBA drafts. One reason for this is that the MLB draft can drag out for 70 plus rounds. It really just depends on how many players teams need. With this many rounds not as many people tend to watch the MLB draft as much, except for the first few rounds.

Sports agents, as an example, usually do not bother signing players up unless they feel they can be drafted in the first few rounds. Some top agents will even not touch a player unless they feel he can be drafted in the first round or maybe the second.

Another thing hurting the MLB draft will be that players drafted rarely enter the 40 man roster on a MLB team the first season. Many of them will go to the minor leagues for at least one or two seasons. Some, no matter where they are drafted, never make a 40 man roster.

The MLB draft has gotten more notice over the past decade. With multi million dollar signing bonuses at stake, it is hard for people to ignore it any longer.
