The Yanks Did It

The Yankees are now the MLB World Series Champions for 2009. They took down the Phillies in game 6 with literally few problems. Game 7 might have been much tougher for them, their pitching staff was tired.
It has been several years since the Yankees last won a World Series. The Yanks have spent more money on their team then anyone else by far in the league. They have recruited who they feel are the best players from several different teams and even different countries. If spending the most money to win a title is the way to do it, then the Yankees certainly have done it.
Many people criticize them because they do spend tons of money on their players, staff, etc. But some also say if you have it, then do it. Why not? It has taken them a lot of money and several years to get to this point. In some peoples eyes as much money as they have spent, too long. No matter how you feel, they won fair and square. They actually played amazingly well as a team and deserve much praise. So do you think they have what it takes to do it again next year?
