The MLB From 2000 – 2009

Certainly baseball has had its ups and downs in the last ten years. We have all heard enough about the steroid scandals, but what about the good that has happened to the game. The team to beat in the AL and the NL for the last ten years has to be the Yankees. They have built a major MLB empire. They have also spent more money than any team, even several combined. Even though the Red Sox won two Championships, the Yankees won more post season and regular season games during the last ten years than anyone. With the Yankees you either love them or hate them, that’s for sure. And I would not look to see them drifting into the past coming up for the next several years either.
In the Al and the NL, the Pirates were by far the worst team of the time. The Royals were a very close second though. But this last year their entire team salary was near 7 million dollars. Looks like it is time for them to find a new owner or get some new and better cheap players.
What do you look forward to for the next ten years in baseball?
