International Baseball?

As the world of international basketball grows, many wonder if baseball may end up doing something similar. The pressure has been on the NBA for sometime to improve viewer numbers here in the US. People feel that introducing international play to the lineup would help. The problem is the distance for teams to travel to play one another would be huge. But international sports like basketball are growing. So does the MLB need to consider such a move? Certainly the sport would like to increase its audience base yet it does not seem like it is hurting enough to consider such a drastic move. Only time will tell. What do you think?
