Here Comes the Draft

As college and high school baseball heads into the summer in full swing, the college draft will be right around the corner. The MLB draft is usually held in June and college and some high school players from around the world are hoping to secure a spot being drafted by a major league baseball team. The draft can be a very exciting thing. In baseball the draft can go as many rounds as teams choose to go. Some years it has been in the 40′s and at times well over that as far as rounds go. The prime spots of course like any draft are the first few rounds. Yet there have been some great players that have come from later rounds in a draft still. Agents have been scouting out clients since day one and are hoping to sign some of these top round players to their client list. They stand to make quite a bit of money if they end up with a player chosen in the first couple of rounds. Signing bonuses can end up in the millions and each year they continue to get higher and higher.
